Cleaning your water feature becomes necessary when debris builds up to a point where water quality is affected. Should your water get to the point where no amount of chemicals or water changes will clear your water, it is time to call Green Thumb Water Garden Center for a pond cleaning.
We recommended an annual cleaning to take care of all parts of your water feature. Here is what we do for you:
- We remove the fish from your pond and put them in a 300 gallon covered container with treated pond water, then put in an aerator to keep your fish healthy. We will inspect your fish as we catch them and let you know if there is any obvious problems with your fish.
- All the water and plants are removed from the pond.
- We power wash the muck, mud and excessive debris down to the lowest point of the pond.
- A wet/dry vacuum is used to remove all the water and mud from the bottom of the pond.
- The pond is partially filled and washed down, then drained again.
- Water is added back to the pond along with salt and stress coat.
- The filter is cleaned, the uv light is checked and leaks are checked out.
- The fish are added back to the pond after the water level has reached a satisfactory level.
- We clean up the area.
- Recommenations are made for any improvements we see.
